CHARLOTTE, NC — A tractor trailer fire along Interstate 485 in west Charlotte midday Wednesday is causing significant delays in the area, warn fire officials.

The tractor trailer was fully engulfed by flames along the inner loop of I-485 near Moore’s Chapel Road.

Drivers should move over for emergency officials and seek alternate routes, Charlotte Fire said.
