Mecklenburg County, NC – Mecklenburg County nonprofits interested in learning about the County's application process for Community Service Grants (CSG) may participate in an upcoming information session. The County is hosting a virtual information session on Monday, Nov. 1, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. via Webex. During the session nonprofits can learn about the requirements for CSG funding and the ways to apply. Those interested can attend the WebEx meeting or by phone at 408-418-9388 (access code: 23332208748). The application period for CSG funds for fiscal year 2023 opens on Nov. 1, 2021 and runs thru Dec. 5, 2021. To be eligible, applicants must have current 501(c)(3) nonprofit status, submit audited financial statements, have a policy requiring employees to be vaccinated for COVID19 or submit regular testing, serve the residents of Mecklenburg County, apply under one of the four goal areas that reflect the County's strategic priorities: Connected Community, Economic Opportunities, Healthy Community, and Safe Community. The grant award funding period is from July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023. Any nonprofit program that has received funding for three consecutive fiscal years (FY2020-FY2021-FY2022) will be sunset from the program with consideration for a vendor relationship with the County in FY2023; if selected as a vendor, the program will no longer compete in the CSG process. Funding for FY2023 is not guaranteed.
