Meet an “Amazing” Who’s More Fit & Active Than Most 20 Year Olds

Jack Hart, at 99, just months shy of his 100th birthday, took his first sky-diving leap. He wasn’t planning on doing it – he’s already pretty busy with his swim class, his watercolor paintings (a hobby he took up at 94), driving himself to the art supply store, taking the stairs instead of the elevator, etc. – but when his daughter announced she was about to take her maiden jump, he couldn’t resist: came I come too? Once the sky-diving instructors saw how physically fit Jack is, they said “sure”! He loved every moment of it, as he said, “like floating on a puffy cloud.”
All this after his WWII service as a cryptanalyst for the Army’s Signal Intelligence Service, bookended by work at the FBI, and finally his career in the acoustical ceiling tile business, from which he retired some 35 years ago. Oh, and did I mention his volunteer work for Habitat for Humanity, both here and abroad, that he pursued until his mid-90’s? What a guy!
