Memorial Day 2019: What's Open, Closed In Charlotte

Some services will be closed for Memorial Day around Charlotte and Mecklenburg County. Here's a list.

CHARLOTTE, NC —Memorial Day is the unofficial summer kickoff, but it's also a federal holiday to remember those who have died serving in the military. Some services normally open on Mondays will be closed on May 27 for the holiday.

Here are the openings/closings to know for Memorial Day on Monday, May 27:

Mecklenburg County government offices: Closed

Department of Social Services: Closed

The Department of Social Services hotlines operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week to receive reports of suspected abuse or neglect. To report abuse of seniors or the disabled, call 704-336-CARE (2273). To report abuse, neglect or human trafficking of children, call 980-31-HELPS (43577).

Banks: Closed
