Metallica Adds Charlotte To WorldWired Tour

CHARLOTTE, NC — Get ready to thrash, Charlotte. Metallica is coming to the Queen City Oct. 22, the heavy metal giants announced Monday. And, for all those fans who’ve waited years for them to swing through town, there’s even more good news: you can buy your tickets as soon as tomorrow.

Metallica has added 34 new dates for the North American leg of its WorldWired tour, which kicks off Sept. 2 in Madison, Wis., wrapping up March 13, 2019 in Grand Rapids, Mich.

Pre-sale tickets for the Charlotte show, as well as other cities in the North American lineup are available Tuesday, Feb. 27 for fan club members and Citi card members after 11 a.m. Spotify will have pre-sale tickets beginning Feb. 28.

Public ticket sales will begin March 2 at 10 a.m.

Fans interested in seeing more than one show may be interested in purchasing the “Wherever I May Roam Black Ticket” for $598, which allows floor access to any of the band’s 2018/2019 North American tour. Anyone with these highly coveted tickets — Only 250 will be sold — can request entry to any of the 34 shows with 48 hours notice.

The Oct. 22 show in Charlotte is the first for the band in nine years, according to the Charlotte Observer.
