Missing Charlotte Man Disappeared During Bike Ride: CMPD
Charles Pfeiler, 48, left home riding his mountain bike Wednesday but hasn't returned since. Police say there is concern for his safety.

CHARLOTTE, NC — Police are asking for the public’s help locating a Charlotte man who reportedly left his home to go on a bike ride but hasn’t come back or contacted family members. There is concern for his safety and wellbeing, according to police.
According to a Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department report, Charles Pfeiler, 48, left his home on Ashton Gate Drive in southeast Charlotte on a grey Trek mountain-style bike, headed to an unknown destination. His family called police around 8:45 p.m. July 18 to report him missing.
Pfeiler is described as a white male, with a bald head and brown eyes. CMPD asks that anyone who has seen him or know his whereabouts call 911.
