Missing Charlotte Woman’s Car Found Abandoned In S.C.: CMPD
Shawna Jones, 42, hasn't been heard from since Aug. 25, according to her roommate. Have you seen her?

CHARLOTTE, NC -- Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing Charlotte woman whose car has been found abandoned along a South Carolina interstate.
Shawna Jones, 42, was reported missing Aug. 27 by her roommate Earnest Hooper, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police. Hooper told officers she left home in the 3000 block of Walter Street driving her red four-door Mazda 6 on Friday, Aug. 25, and has not been in contact with friends or family since.
She is described as a black female with brown eyes and short black hair.

CMPD said Jones’ car was found abandoned in Berkeley County in South Carolina, Sept. 6, on a ramp accessing Interstate 26 from Highway 17 Alternate. (Get Patch real-time email alerts for the latest news in Charlotte — or other neighborhoods. And iPhone users: Check out Patch's new app.)
CMPD said it is working with South Carolina’s State Law Enforcement Division and Berkeley County law enforcement and asks that anyone with information about her location or her Mazda 6 with a North Carolina tag DHB-5791 contact Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
