Money Magazine Ranks 5 NC Colleges On ‘Best Value’ List

Five North Carolina schools made the top 100 in Money Magazine's Best Colleges in 2019. Here's how they ranked.

NORTH CAROLINA — Money magazine has ranked five North Carolina colleges in the top 100 of its Best Colleges in 2019 list released in August. Duke University ranks as having the best value in North Carolina, followed by North Carolina State University at Raleigh, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Davidson College and Wake Forest University.

Money said its “Best Colleges in America, Ranked By Value” list to highlight schools that combine quality and affordability by weighing 19,000 data points that included tuition fees, career earnings and family borrowing.
