Most Romantic Restaurants In US: 3 NC Eateries Make List

CHARLOTTE, NC — Chocolate, flowers and movies are all classics of the Valentine’s Day experience, but there may be no more important decision on the romantic holiday than picking the right restaurant for the dinner date.

If you’re looking for some help in choosing that perfect date night spot in North Carolina on Feb. 14, we’ve got some good news for you.

OpenTable recently released its “100 Most Romantic Restaurants in America for 2020,” and the restaurant reservation site included three dining locations from North Carolina.

Here are the romantic restaurants that earned a spot on the list in our state:

• Brewery Bhava — Raleigh. Says OpenTable: “Rooted in the historic Moore Square Park in downtown Raleigh, Brewery Bhavana is a gathering place celebrating communal beer experiences that exhibit the hand of the maker. Brewery, dim sum restaurant, flower shop, and bookstore, Bhavana is our love letter to a community that has given us so much.”

• Crawford & Son — Raleigh. Says OpenTable: “Crawford and Son is a modern neighborhood restaurant. Our goal is to cultivate lasting relationships within our community of guests, vendors and our team.”
• M Sushi — Durham. Says OpenTable: “M Sushi is triangles first dedicated sushi and seafood restaurant. We concentrate on raw and cold applications of fresh exotic seafood as well as cooked and vegetarian courses utilizing the same high quality ingredients. We are creating simple and traditional sushi cuisine with Peruvian and Spanish influences.”

“We craft this list every year to help diners looking for inspiration for the most popular date night of the year,” said Jessica Jensen, senior vice president of marketing at OpenTable, in a press release. “Whether it’s a special night with your significant other, a girls night out, or your first outing with someone new, these restaurants have passed the test of setting the table for exceptional ambiance and an incredible meal.”

OpenTable generated the 2020 list based solely from dinner reviews collected between Dec. 1, 2018, and Nov. 30, 2019. To be included, all the restaurants needed a minimum overall score and a certain number of qualifying reviews.

The qualifying restaurants were then scored and sorted according to the percentage of reviews, for which “romantic” was selected as a special feature.
