Must-Know Dates For The End of 2017 School Year

CHARLOTTE, NC -- Now that Spring Break is officially in the rear view mirror, it won’t be long before schools are out for the summer. Here is a quick rundown of when area schools in the Charlotte metro region will be wrapping up classes.

Mecklenburg County

• Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools -- Schools will be closed May 29 for Memorial Day. The last day of school for CMS is June 9

• Community School of Davidson -- Teacher work days are coming up May 12 and May 26. Students will then have one more holiday May 29, when the school is closed in observance of Memorial Day. The last day of school is May 31.
• Pioneer Springs Community School -- The school will be closed May 29 for Memorial Day. The last day of school is June 7.

• Lake Norman Charter School -- Students will have a half day out of school Friday, May 26, followed by a full day out on May 29 for Memorial Day. The last day of school is June 2.

• Davidson Day School -- The last day of school is May 24.

Iredell County

• Iredell-Statesville Schools -- Students are scheduled to have an early release May 3, and a day off on May 29 for Memorial Day. The last day of school is June 9.

• Pine Lake Preparatory -- The last day of school is May 26.
• Woodlawn School -- The school will be closed May 29 for Memorial Day. The last day of school is June 6.
