Mustached Robber Hits Family Dollar, Rite Aid: CMPD
Charlotte police are asking for the public's help in located a robbery suspect who struck a north Charlotte Family Dollar Monday.
CHARLOTTE, NC -- Charlotte police are searching for a robbery suspect they say is wanted for a Monday morning heist at a north Charlotte Family Dollar.
The bandit, who is seen with a mustache in video surveillance footage, is also a suspect in an attempted robbery of a west Charlotte Rite-Aid last month, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police. In both cases, the bandit implied he was armed.
The Jan. 8 incident occurred around 10:45 a.m. at the Family Dollar store located at 4005 Sunset Road, when the suspect demanded money from a register and fled on foot. The scenario is similar to a Dec. 13 incident when a man, who is believed to be the same suspect, attempted to rob Rite-Aid located at 3250 Freedom Drive. In that case, however, he fled before receiving property.
