My Little Light Foundation Helping Families With Childhood Cancer
My Little Light Foundation has been helping Families in Charlotte that are battling Childhood Cancer

Charlotte, NC - My Little Light Foundation Inc. was founded in 2016 to help families battling Childhood Cancer. Founder and CEO, Carolyn Jackson, after losing her son to a Pontine Brain Glioma found that more families are in need of financial support. This support may come in the form of monetary donations for the parents or gifts for the children undergoing treatment and their siblings.
The mission of My Little Light Foundation has been to lift some of the financial burden faced by the families of Childhood Cancer patients, so they can concentrate on their child during this difficult time.
There are a number of non-medical costs that families incur that often go overlooked. These costs may include, daycare for siblings, travel expenses to and from the hospital and loss of wages by parents who must quit their jobs to care for their child.

Recently, the Mayor of Charlotte proclaimed May 16, 2018, as "My Little Light Day." Special Events were held at St. Jude's Affliate Clinic. The children were surprised to see a table full of toys as they came in for treatment. The big hit of the day was Gabe's Chemo Ducks, which were so generously donated to the event. The parents also received gift cards from local restaurants and The Giving Key necklaces. My Little Light Foundation was also seen on NBC Charlotte.
Carolyn Jackson expressed, "We are doing our best to bring some joy and a sense of normalcy to these families throughout their journey."
