N.C. Sen. Thom Tillis Collapses During Race In Washington
N.C. Sen. Thom Tillis has collapsed in Washington and had to be resuscitated, according to news reports.

UPDATE: Sen. Thom Tillis, who collapsed during a Wednesday morning race in Washington, D.C., was not given CPR as previously reported and remained conscious, according to multiple news reports.
CHARLOTTE, NC -- North Carolina Sen. Thom Tillis collapsed during a race in Washington, D.C. Wednesday morning after he stopped breathing. He was given CPR, and was taken to the hospital by an ambulance, multiple news outlets are reporting.
Tillis, 57, was leading a team of runners in the ACLI Capital Challenge Wednesday morning when he collapsed around the second mile mark of the three-mile race, the Associated Press reported May 17. The Republican lawmaker from the Lake Norman was then given CPR by bystanders when he stopped breathing, the AP said.
