RALEIGH, NC β If you need a quick reminder that these sticky, muggy dog days of summer will eventually end, weβve got one for you. The Tar Heel Stateβs annual 11-day fall pagenty of all things whirly, glitzy and fried will kick off in Raleigh less than three months. Yes, folks, it's almost time for the 2018 North Carolina State Fair, and tickets are now on sale.
This yearβs fair, which runs Oct. 11 through Oct., 21, marks the 151th anniversary of the state fair held annually to promote the state's artisans and agriculture.
βBuying in advance can save you up to 45 percent off prices once you arrive at the fair,β said Kent Yelverton, state fair manager. βIt is truly the most economical way to visit β especially if youβre bringing the whole family.β
