NC Weather Forecast: When You Can Expect April Showers

While the Queen City metro region awoke to chilly temperatures early Friday morning, there will be plenty of sunshine on tap going into the weekend before rain moves in, according to a National Weather Service forecast.

Along with sunny skies, temperatures will be pleasant this weekend, with highs in the mid- to high 60s. The gorgeous run of weather is expected to last though Sunday, when conditions will change and set up what will likely be a soggy work week.

Sunday night, there’s a 40 percent chance of rain, leading into a week laced with showers. The chance of rain through Wednesday is a near certainty, according to NWS.
