North Carolina Restaurant Makes “Best Casual” List

CHARLOTTE, NC -- Summer is the season for road trips and, ultimately, pit stops for meals. North Carolina just so happens to have one of the best casual restaurants in the U.S., according to The Daily Meal.

“Don't leave North Carolina having only eaten barbecue; the pressure-fried bird at Beasley’s Chicken + Honey is an absolute must,” The Daily Meal said of the Raleigh-based eatery in its recent rundown of the 101 best casual restaurants in the U.S. “The combination of steaming and frying makes the finished product tender and juicy, and a drizzle of honey — which renowned local chef Ashley Christensen includes as a tribute to her beekeeping father — gives this chicken a personal and literally sweet touch.”
