Over A Dozen Fall Ill After Neighborhood Potluck
Reports say "exposure to feces" was a cause of well over a dozen people falling sick after a potluck.

CHARLOTTE, NC — Over a dozen people fell ill in an east Charlotte apartment complex after being "exposed to feces" at a neighborhood potluck Sunday, according to reports. Multiple 911 calls came in Sunday from a building in the 6500 block of Four Seasons Lane, Fox46 reports.
911 calls started coming in around 4:45 p.m., Medic said, according to the Charlotte Observer.
EMTs evaluated 21 people, Fox46 reported, of about 100 that were at the potluck. Fifteen are taken to the hospital, and one was considered seriously ill. EMTs canvassed the area to see if more had fallen ill.

Medic sent their mass casualty bus around 6 p.m. to the complex in order to transport all of the ill. They were taken to CMC-Main and the sickness was determined to be non life-threatening.

The Observer reports the sick people may have attended an event Saturday night, as well.
County officials recommend anybody who attended either event and is experiencing diarrhea, fever, nausea, vomiting or stomach cramps should immediately seek medical attention.
