Here are the top three stories today in Charlotte:
- Witness the Carolina Panthers' dark side. The Charlotte-based football team recently unveiled its new all-black look, including a black helmet, jerseys, and socks. Fans can see the new uniform in action for the first time in the Panthers' game against the Atlanta Falcons on Nov. 10. (WBTV)
- Calling all Toys R Us Kids: the iconic store will return to two Charlotte malls this fall, thanks to a partnership with Macy's. Residents can look for the toy store within the Macy's departments at SouthPark Mall and Northlake Mall. While specific opening dates have not been disclosed for Charlotte-area stores, Toys R Us reports all locations across the nation will open by Oct. 15. (Charlotte Observer)
- A local girl who went missing early yesterday morning in east Charlotte has been found. 11-year-old Katoria Perry, who left her home around 1 a.m., was located before 7 a.m. and is reported to be reunited with her family. Police and fire crews found the girl in the Silverwood community. (WBTV)
