Police Activity Prompts School Lockdown At Independence High
The east Charlotte high school was placed on lockdown Friday morning as a precaution due to police activity in the area.
CHARLOTTE, NC — Independence High School in east Charlotte was placed on lockdown Friday morning due to police activity in the area, according to reports.
“All students and staff are safe and our day will continue once the lockdown is over,” Principal David Legrand told parents in a statement, WSOC reported.
The lockdown was lifted shortly before noon, according to WCNC.
