Missing Charlotte Teen Found Safe: CMPD
Braylon Bowen, 14, went missing early Tuesday morning in south Charlotte. He was later located safe, according to police.

CHARLOTTE, NC -- Hours after Charlotte police asked for the publicβs help in located a missing 14-year-old Charlotte teen with cognitive issues who walked away from his home in the early morning hours Tuesday, the teen was found safe.
Braylon Bowen, 14, left his home in the 8300 block of Tifton Road in south Charlotte around 3 a.m. on Feb. 20, according to a Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department report.
βBraylon has been diagnosed with cognitive issues and his family is extremely concerned about him,β CMPD said Tuesday morning.

According to police, Bowen may be unresponsive when approached and is wary of strangers. He βdoes not handle yelling well,β the CMPD statement said.
Shortly before 1 p.m., Bowen was found safely and was in the process of being reunited with his family, CMPD said.
