Man Shot, Killed In Home In Targeted Predawn Attack: Report

CHARLOTTE, NC — Police are investigating an early morning shooting into a northwest Charlotte home that left a man dead in what authorities believe was a targeted attack, according to reports.

According to a Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department account of the incident, the June 5 shooting occurred shortly before 6 a.m. into a home in the 6200 block of Ohaus Court in Charlotte. When officers arrived, they found a male victim who had been shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Eight other people were inside the home at the time of the shooting, according to WSOC. None of them were injured in the incident. Police told the station they did not believe the shooting was random.

CMPD said that anyone with information about the incident is asked to call 704-432-TIPS and speak directly to a homicide detective, or call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
