Police Charge Son With Stabbing Death Of His Mother
Dionte Marquel Long has been charged with murder after police find his mother stabbed to death Monday morning.
CHARLOTTE, NC -- Charlotte police have charged Dionte Maquel Long with murder following the stabbing death of his mother April 10.
Marcella Lightner Thrash, 50, was found stabbed to death in the University area Monday morning. Her son was located at the scene and taken in as a person of interest. Police responded to the 5600 block of Hubbard Point Drive around 7:15 a.m. April 10, and found the Thrash, who was pronounced dead on the scene.
