Police Find Man Shot To Death Next To Car Near Waddell Park
A man found shot to death next to his vehicle late Sunday evening became Charlotte's 78th homicide victim in 2017.

CHARLOTTE, NC -- Charlotte police are asking for the public’s help in finding leads in an overnight homicide that left a man shot to death and lying in the road next to a parked vehicle near Waddell Park in north Charlotte late Sunday night.
The homicide is the 78th for the city in 2017.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officers arrived at the crime scene shortly after receiving a 911 call reporting gunfire in the 1400 block of Waddell Road around 10:15 p.m. on Nov. 12. When they arrived, they found 22-year-old Abraham Malik Wallace and pronounced him dead on the scene from a gunshot wound.

CMPD dispatched a K-9 Team in an attempt to track the suspect, but were unable to locate them. They ask that anyone with information about this incident contact Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
