Police Hunt For Man Wanted For Attempted Murder

Charlotte police are searching for Deshawn Moore, a suspect they say is wanted for attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon.

CHARLOTTE, NC -- Charlotte police are searching for a man they say is wanted for attempted murder after an assault last weekend in North Charlotte.

Deshawn Moore, 39, is described by CMPD as a black male, about 6 foot tall and weighing about 250 pounds.

In addition to attempted murder, he is also wanted for assault with a deadly weapon intent to kill inflicting serious injury and robbery with a dangerous weapon.

He was last known to be in the 1400 block of W. Sugar Creek Road.

CMPD asks anyone with information about his whereabouts call the department's Violent Crime Apprehension Team at 704-336-8228, or 911.
