Police Identify Homicide Victim Shot Dead Early Thursday In Charlotte

Jonathan Dominique Cauthen, 31, was found fatally shot around 3 a.m. Thursday morning in west Charlotte, CMPD said.

CHARLOTTE, NC -- A 31 year-old man was found shot to death early Thursday morning at a home in west Charlotte, according to police.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police responding to a call for assault with a deadly weapon in the 2200 block of Catherine Street around 3 a.m. Sept. 28 found the victim, Jonathan Dominique Cauthen, with gunshot wounds.

CMPD has launched an investigation and asks that anyone with information call 704-432-TIPS, or call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
