Police Identify Single-Car Accident Victim

Charlotte police have identified a man found at the scene of an accident they say was because of a medical emergency.

CHARLOTTE, NC -- Charlotte police say they believe a medical emergency was the cause behind a single-car accident that left a man dead Sunday evening at Colonel Francis Beatty Park in south Charlotte.

According to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police, Marshall Thomas Little, 59, ran off the road shortly before 7:30 p.m. in the 4000 block of Weddington Road. Responding officers found that the 2004 Chevrolet Malibu driven by Little crossed the oncoming lane of traffic, ran off the road and struck a utility pole and tree.
