4 Shot In West Charlotte, Police Look For Witnesses

One of the victims has a life-threatening wound, Charlotte Police say.

CHARLOTTE, NC — Four people were wounded in an early Sunday morning shooting, Charlotte police say. One of the wounded has a life-threatening wound.

Charlotte police are investigating an early morning shooting in west Charlotte Sunday that left four people shot. One of the victim’s wounds are so severe, they could be life threatening, according to police.

The shooting occurred around 2:30 a.m. Sunday in the 3200 block of Queen City Drive.

When officers arrived at the scene they found three victims had been shot. Medics responded to the scene and transported the victims to Carolinas Medical Center. Not long afterwards, a fourth victim was dropped off at Novant Main hospital with a gunshot wound, according to a police statement.

One of the victims has a life threatening injury, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said.

CMPD detectives are searching for witnesses. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
