Police Nab Suspect On The Run After Cutting Off Monitor

Charlotte police say they have arrested Devine Manyale Logan, who has been on the run since cutting of his electronic monitor last month.

CHARLOTTE, NC -- Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police said they have caught a suspect on the run for more than a month after he cut off a court-ordered electronic monitoring device.

He was found and taken into custody Jan. 25 by CMPD officers assisted by its aviation unit, according to a police report Thursday afternoon.

Devine Monyale Logan, 24, initially dropped off law enforcement radar Dec. 18, 2017, when he removed the ankle monitor that was a condition of his pretrial release as he awaiting trial for assault with a deadly weapon and and discharging a weapon in an occupied dwelling charges.

Logan was last know to be in the area of 7600 Idlewild Road in Charlotte, according to CMPD.
