Police Search For Car After Kidnapping Report At Area Wendy's
A woman who was a passenger in a car in the drive-thru lane asked workers at an area Wendy's for help and said she had been kidnapped.
CHARLOTTE, NC — Charlotte police are asking for the public’s help and have launched an investigation into a possible kidnapping after employees of an area Wendy’s reported that a woman who was a passenger in a car in the drive-thru lane asked them for help.
According to a police report, the incident happened shortly after midnight July 5 at the Wendy’s Restaurant located at 2801 Boyer Street in west Charlotte.
“Employees at the business indicated that two females in a vehicle had ordered food in their drive-thru and that one of the occupants was asking for help and stated that she had been kidnapped,” Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said.

Employees described the victim as a black woman, approximately 40-60 years old with a dark skin complexion.
The suspect was driving a forest green Honda with a sunroof, rear spoiler and displaying a temporary license tag. She was wearing a red tube top and is described as a light skin black female, about 25-30 years old. Her hair was braided into a bun, and she was wearing glasses, had a small nose ring and a flower tattoo on one shoulder.

CMPD said that anyone with information about this incident or the identities of the women is asked to call 704-432-TIPS and speak directly to a homicide unit detective, or call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
