Police Search For LongHorn Steakhouse Shooter

Charlotte Police say George Irving Rivens shot a victim in the bathroom of the University LongHorn Steakhouse.

CHARLOTTE, NC -- Charlotte police have identified George Irving Rivens as the suspect wanted in the shooting of another man in the bathroom of LongHorn Steakhouse in the University area.

Police say Rivens and the victim knew each other prior to the April 6 incident, and had an altercation when they ran into each other at the restaurant.

Rivens is wanted on outstanding warrants for assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, robbery with a dangerous weapon and discharging a firearm in the city limits.

Rivens was last seen in the University area, say police, who added that he also has ties to southeast Charlotte.
