Prescribed Burn Planned Today For Latta Plantation Nature Preserve
Fire officials will be conducted a prescribed burn at Latta Plantation Thursday and say area residents should expect smoke.
HUNTERSVILLE, NC -- A prescribed burn is scheduled for Latta Plantation Nature Preserve May 11, and will cause smoke in the area, according to Huntersville Fire Department.
Fire officials say the prescribed burn will start at 1 p.m. Thursday afternoon, and last for about four hours. They ask that residents not call emergency lines to report it.
