Search On For Man Accused Of Sexually Assaulting, Choking Woman

CHARLOTTE, NC — A woman was sexually assaulted in a north Charlotte park Sunday afternoon by a man who then attempted to strangle her before robbing her, according to a report.

The brazen attack occurred around 4 p.m. along the Mallard Creek Greenway, near Mallard Creek Church Road, according to WSOC.

Police have not yet released a description of the male suspect, but say he now faces charges that include assault by strangulation, first- or second-degree forcible sex offense, felony larceny as well as robbery charges, the station said.
