CHARLOTTE, NC — Police are asking for the community’s help locating a man they say is wanted for possession of two stolen vehicles and other crimes after he cut off his court-ordered electronic monitoring device Thursday.

Mario Ramirez-Duarte, 19, was last known to be near 3000 Morning Drive in Charlotte. He is described as 5-foot, 5-inches tall and 150 pounds.

Ramirez-Duarte was ordered to wear the electronic device as a condition of his pretrial release, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. In addition to the two counts of possession of a stolen motor vehicle, he is wanted for possession of stolen goods. He now also faces additional charges of damage to property and interfering with an electronic monitoring device.

CMPD said anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to immediately contact the Electronic Monitoring Unit at 704-432-8888, option #3 or call 911.
