Search Underway For 7-Eleven Armed Robbery Suspect: CMPD

CHARLOTTE, NC — A north Charlotte convenience store was held up at gunpoint early Tuesday morning and police are hoping someone in the community recognizes the suspect.

According to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, a man entered the 7-Eleven located at 3737 North Tryon Street shortly before 1 a.m. Jan. 14, brandished a gun and demanded money from the store clerk.

Police described the suspect as a black male, approximately mid-40s and about 6-foot tall.

In video stills circulated by police, the man appears to have a beard and is seen wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt with a white design on the chest.

CMPD said anyone with information regarding this armed robbery case is asked to call 911, or Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
