Missing Man With Dementia Located, Reunited With Family

Police asked for help locating a missing 76-year-old Charlotte man with dementia who hadn't been seen since Saturday.

CHARLOTTE, NC — A silver alert issued over the weekend asking for the public’s help locating a missing Charlotte man with dementia who hadn't been seen since Saturday afternoon at his south Charlotte home has been canceled, police said Monday.

Domingo Peralta Perez, 76, has been located and reunited with his family, Charlotte police said.

Peralta Perez, who was described as 5-foot, 11-inches tall, 180 pounds with short gray hair and blue eyes had last been seen walking near his home in the 5500 block of Flagstaff Drive around 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 15. He was reported missing to police shortly after midnight on June 16.

“Mr. Peralta Perez has been diagnosed with dementia and his family is concerned for his wellbeing,” Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said.

Peralta Perez was last seen wearing dark jeans, a blue and black striped polo shirt, white Nike sneakers, and a red and black San Francisco 49ers hat, police said.

CMPD said that anyone who sees or has information about Domingo Peralta Perez is asked to call 911 immediately. In addition, you may also call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
