South Charlotte Christmas Eve Shooting Leaves One Injured

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is investigating a Christmas Eve shooting in the parking lot of Sports Connection.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is investigating a shooting that left one person injured on Christmas Eve in South Charlotte. According to CMPD at 10:40 pm, officers with the South Division responded to the 11600 block of Ardrey Kell in reference to an ADW (Assault With Deadly Weapon) call for service.

When officers arrived, One person was located with a gunshot wound near the parking lot adjacent to Sports Connection. MEDIC responded and transported the victim to the hospital with non life threatening injuries. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department Crime Scene Investigation Units (CSI) responded to the scene. Investigators were photographing the scene late into the night and into early Tuesday morning. Evidence was collected at the scene and taken away by investigators.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said no arrests have been made as of early Christmas Day. The investigation is continuing.
