DAVIDSON, NC — From a street festival in Cornelius to a local author’s book signing in Davidson, there are plenty of fun events happening around Lake Norman this weekend. If you're looking for something to do, Patch has you covered.

Here are five events to check out around Davidson and Lake Norman this weekend:

  • 2nd Friday Street Festival — Friday, July 13, 6 p.m. Oak Street Mill, Cornelius. Say organizers: “Join the party at Oak Street Mill from 6-10 pm and get ready to rock out to the sounds of the Ben Gatlin Band along with a full lineup of festivities including the region's tastiest food trucks & craft breweries, live performances, kids activities, local artists & craftsmen, and so much more!”
  • Davidson Farmers' Market — Saturdays, 8 a.m. - noon. Located next to Town Hall between Main & Jackson Streets.
  • Rosy Crumpton: Reading + Signing at Main Street Books — Saturday, July 14. 4 p.m. - 5 p.m., 126 S. Main Street, Davidson. Local author and community advocate Rosy Crumpton to the store for a reading and signing of her debut novel, All I Left Unsaid.
  • Crawfish & Cornhole — Sunday, July 15, 1 p.m. - 6 p.m., Harvey’s Cornelius, 19906 N. Cove Road, Cornelius. Say organizers: “Business Leaders Unleashed & Harveys invites family and friends to come out and enjoy bounce houses, live music, a dunk tank, cornhole and an old fashioned crawfish boil and cookout on the courtyard... Craft Beer Vendors will be onsite!”
  • Ice Cream Social at Three Dog Bakery Lake Norman — Sunday, July 15, 1 p.m. - 3 p.m., 19825-C N. Cove Road, Cornelius. Say organizers: “Come celebrate National Ice Cream day with some Lickety Split for your pup! We'll have a topping bar and you can choose from a cup or an "Eat Your Own Bowl"! Event is free with any donation to Lucky Labs Rescue!”
