Suspect Arrested After Two Armed Robberies And A Police Chase
CMPD arrested Shari Harris Wednesday and says he is responsible for two armed robberies at area gas stations earlier in the week.

CHARLOTTE, NC -- Charlotte police say they have nabbed a man responsible for two early morning back-to-back gas station armed robberies by a suspect who fled in a getaway car that was stolen.
According to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police, Shari Harris, 19, robbed a QT gas station with a gun on The Plaza around 3:20 a.m. June 13, and the 7/11 gas station on Old Concord Rd around 4 a.m.
Harris reportedly fled the scene in a gray car that police said had been stolen June 4. An officer spotted the car Wednesday when it was speeding on N. Tryon Street. Harris, however, would not stop for officers, and crashed the car into a median while trying to pass other cars in traffic, according to CMPD. He then ran from the accident scene and was arrested after a brief foot chase.
