CHARLOTTE, NC -- Charlotte police are searching for a suspect they say was awaiting a court appearance for breaking into cars after he cut off his electronic monitoring device.
Stephen Wayne Wilburn, 41, was ordered to wear the electronic device as a condition of his pre-trial release. Thursday, however, he cut it of on Leland Street in Charlotte, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police.
Wilburn is wanted for four counts of breaking into motor vehicles, larceny after break-in, possession of stolen property, damage to property and interfering with an electronic monitoring device.
