Suspect Wanted For Armed Robbery Now On The Run: CMPD

CHARLOTTE, NC — Charlotte police are asking for the public’s help locating a man they say is wanted for armed robbery after he cut off his court-ordered electronic monitoring device Tuesday.

Jamil Rashad Stafford, 30, was ordered to wear the device as a condition of his pretrial release. He is now also wanted on damage to property and interfering with an electronic monitoring device charges, police said.

Stafford is described as 5-foot, 7-inches tall and 170 pounds. On Jan. 29, he was last known to be in the 1200 block of Bilmark Avenue in Charlotte.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to immediately contact the Electronic Monitoring Unit at 704-432-8888, option #3 or call 911.
