Suspected South Charlotte Carjacking Leads To High-Speed Chase on I-77
A suspected carjacking suspect led police on a high-speed chase on I-77 Thursday afternoon.

CHARLOTTE, NC -- A suspected carjacking that led police on a high-speed chase into South Carolina Thursday afternoon ended the driver crashed, according to WSOC.
The chase began in South Charlotte along Interstate 77 and Clanton Road. The suspects drove into South Carolina, exited the interstate, then returned to I-77 headed in a northbound direction, said the station, which was videoing the scene from a helicopter. The suspects then crashed alongside the interstate.
Law enforcement officers were able to take a suspect into custody, although two others ran from the scene into the woods, the station reported.
