NORTH CAROLINA — Teacher Appreciation Week runs from May 6 to May 10, and Teacher Appreciation Day is May 7. Restaurants in Mooresville and around North Carolina are offering deals and freebies for teachers.

• Arby's: Certain locations will give teachers and administrators a free sandwich with school ID on Tuesday, May 7. Check with individual locations.
• Chick-fil-A: Certain locations will have promotion for teachers such as a free sandwich. Check with individual locations.
• Chipotle: The chain is offering buy one, get one free from 3 p.m. to close on Tuesday, May 7 with a valid school ID.
• Cici's: Teachers can get a free adult buffet on Tuesday, May 7 by showing proof of school employment and a coupon.
• McAlister's Deli: Teachers can get a free tea from May 6 to May 10.
• McDonald's: Certain locations are offering a free six-piece Chicken McNuggets meal or a premium coffee drink freebie. Check your local McDonald's location.
• MOD Pizza: Teachers can show ID to get buy one, get one free pizza or salads on Tuesday, May 7.
• Raising Cane's: Locations are offering a free box combo meal from 6 -9 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7. A teacher ID is required.
• Sonic: From May 7-31, teachers and all who appreciate them can get a free Route 44 drink or slush when you order ahead through the Sonic app with the code ordered through the app with code "TEACHERS."
