Thousands Of Local Students Attend Charlotte Career Discovery Day
More than 2,500 CMS middle and high school students were among the 5,300 students who attended Charlotte Career Discovery Day on Dec. 3.

More than 2,500 CMS middle and high school students were among the 5,300 students who attended Charlotte Career Discovery Day Dec. 3 at the Park Expo and Conference Center. There were 110 exhibits where students could explore career pathways with industry experts and college representatives.
Students from 23 CMS high schools attended. They were: Ardrey Kell, Butler, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Virtual, East Mecklenburg, Garinger, Harding University, Hawthorne, Hopewell, Hough, Independence, Mallard Creek, Myers Park, North Mecklenburg, Olympic, Performance Learning Center, Phillip O. Berry, Providence, Rocky River, South Mecklenburg, Turning Point Academy, Vance, West Charlotte and West Mecklenburg.

The 16 middle schools that participated were: Albemarle Road, Bailey, Northeast, J.M. Alexander, Alexander Graham, Coulwood STEM, Quail Hollow, Martin Luther King Jr., Collinswood Language Academy, Mint Hill, Berryhill School, Ridge Road, Wilson STEM, Oaklawn Language Academy, Governors' Village and Sedgefield.
