Three Homicides, Two Crime Scenes, One Night In Charlotte

Three men were shot to death at crime scenes in two parts of the city overnight, police say.

CHARLOTTE, NC -- Three men were shot to death Tuesday night inside about an hour in two different areas of the city, according to police.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police responded to a call around 11 p.m. June 20 and found a man shot in the front seat of a car in the front yard of a house in the 4600 block of Eastwycke Place.

About 30 minutes later, a 911 call reported shots fired in the 400 block of Hilo Drive. When CMPD officers arrived, they found two men dead from gunshot wounds, one in an apartment stairwell and the other inside a doorway.
