Charlotte area drivers should anticipate I-77 lane closures this week due to ongoing toll lane construction. Here's what you need to know.

HUNTERSVILLE, NC -- Charlotte commuters should expect lane closures on I-77 and I-85 this week as part of the toll-road construction project, according to project developer, I-77 Mobility Partners.

According to I-77 Mobility Partners, lane closures from May 30 - June 4 will include the following:

Northbound I-77

Expect lane closures from the I-485/I-77 Interchange to Exit 28 as follows:

  • Tuesday, May 30 to Thursday, June 1 from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
  • Friday, June 2 and Saturday, June 3 from 10:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m.
  • Expect lane closures from Exit 16 to Exit 18 as follows:
  • Thursday, June 1 from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.

Expect lane closures from the I-485/I-77 Interchange to Exit 16 (including the Exit ramp) as follows:

  • Wednesday, May 31 from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.

Expect lane closures from Exit 11 to Exit 13 (including work on ramps) as follows:

  • Friday, June 2 from 10:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m.

Southbound I-77

Expect lane closures from Exit 33 to Exit 31 as follows:

  • Tuesday, May 30 from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.

Expect lane closures from Exit 28 to I-485/I-77 Interchange as follows:

  • Wednesday, May 31 from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.

Expect lane closures from Exit 30 to Exit 25 as follows:

  • Wednesday, May 31 and Thursday, June 1 from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
  • Friday, June 2 and Saturday, June 3 from 10:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m.

Expect lane closures from Exit 18 to Exit 16 as follows:

  • Saturday, June 3 from 10:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m.

Expect lane closures from the I-85/I-77 interchange to Exit 11 (including work on ramps) as follows:

  • Saturday, June 3 from 10:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m.
