Total Eclipse 2017: Viewing Forecast Includes Chance for Clouds, Rain
Charlotte-metro area eclipse viewers can expect possible cloud cover and a small chance a rain on Aug. 21.

CHARLOTTE, NC -- We’re only days away from the total solar eclipse in the Carolinas, which according to weather predictions, will be partly sunny during the day and a chance of rain.
Unsurprisingly, given the summer season, a chance of rain is in the forecast every day between now and Total Eclipse Day on Aug. 21.
While precipitation is a possibility, it currently remains small -- no more than a 30 percent chance, according to the National Weather Service. (Get Patch real-time email alerts for the latest news in Charlotte — or other neighborhoods. And iPhone users: Check out Patch's new app.)
