CHARLOTTE, NC — On the eve of North Carolina’s Super Tuesday primary election, President Trump will hold a rally Monday evening in Charlotte. Drivers should expect major delays, Charlotte officials said.

The event will kick off at 7 p.m. at the Bojangles’ Coliseum, located at 2700 East Independence Boulevard.

Motorists should expect road closures near Charlotte Douglas International Airport and the arena, the City of Charlotte said.

“Significant traffic and delays are expected during the afternoon rush house and into the evening,” the City of Charlotte announced on social media. “Residents and businesses are encouraged to plan ahead.”

By dawn Monday morning, a line of supporters waiting to get a seat for the “Keep America Great” event already snaked around the arena, with some attendees waiting in line for hours and — in a few cases — overnight, according to local reports.
