Arrest Made After Early Morning Stabbing In Northwest Charlotte

Police said the stabbings that occurred in the northwest Charlotte home early Monday morning were "domestic related."

CHARLOTTE, NC — Police have made an arrest following the stabbing of two adults and a child in a home in northwest Charlotte home early Monday morning. Police say the victims all have serious injuries from the incident, which they called “domestic related.”

According to a Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department report, the July 15 incident occurred around 2 a.m. in a home in the 500 block of North Linwood Avenue. Responding officers found the two adult and the juvenile inside the home.

“All subjects were transported to Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center with serious injuries,” CMPD said.

Midday, CMPD said it had charged Reginald Hall, 40, with assault on a female, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury and assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury in the presence of a minor.

CMPD has opened an investigation, and canvassed the area to determine if there were any other witnesses.

“At this time the incident appears to be domestic related and detectives are not looking for any individuals in reference to this case,” CMPD said.

CMPD said anyone who has information about this incident is asked to call 911, or call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
