Week Ahead Weather: Clouds, Followed By Rain

CHARLOTTE, NC -- Clouds are moving into the Charlotte metro region Wednesday, leading into a soggy weekend, according to the National Weather Service.

While there is only a 20 percent chance of rain Aug. 9, thunderstorms are expected Thursday through Sunday, NWS said. Highs this week will be in the low 80s with lows in the 70s.

Isolated showers between noon and 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 80. Northeast wind around 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Tonight
Isolated showers after midnight. Increasing clouds, with a low around 69. East wind 3 to 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Thursday (Aug. 10)
A chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 11am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 81. East northeast wind 5 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
