Weekend Weather: Tropical Storm Nate To Bring Heavy Rains To Charlotte

Heavy rains move into the region by Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.

CHARLOTTE, NC -- As Tropical Storm Nate continues to form in the Gulf of Mexico, the Charlotte region should brace for weather changes this weekend that will likely include heavy rains and windy conditions.

Sunshine and clear skies are on tap for Friday, but that will change Saturday when clouds move into the region. On Sunday, heavy rains and gusty winds from Nate will move into the Queen City region, the National Weather Service said in a hazardous weather outlook. Heavy rains stay in the forecast through Monday, NWS said.

Temperatures will stay in the high 70s and low 80s, with overnight lows in the mid 60s.
